Lovely My Casa: A Tranquil and Spacious Parent-Child Home

Creating Intellectual Warmth and Ample Amenities

The site of this project was a 25-year-old house with various issues, including fragmented land, poor lighting, circulation problems, and a subpar layout. Designers Hsiao Chi Chiang and Amber Wen tackled these challenges head-on, resulting in a stunning transformation that prioritizes intellectual warmth, spaciousness, and plentiful amenities. The Lovely My Casa is a must-have parent-child home that fosters a sense of sharing and helping each other.

In the Lovely My Casa, the designers focused on creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. The white color tone and extensive scenes of amenities were key elements in the planning. At the entrance, semi-polished floor tiles with a stone texture were paired with a built-in fish tank cabinet, presenting a facade with perfect proportional division. The living room features a crafted arch with special paint, connecting the entrance and the TV wall, creating a seamless flow between spaces.

The non-interface layout of the living room, dining room, and kitchen on the same axis integrates the functions of these areas, making it the end view of the space through the presentation of colors and materials. The use of white materials and paints in different media enhances the comfortable feeling throughout the home. Iron lines were strategically applied to lower the ratio of quality and quantity, while sunflower yellow accents highlight the white levels, adding a touch of vibrancy.

The realization of the Lovely My Casa involved the use of various materials and technologies. Latex paint, super wear-resistant wooden floor, quartz tiles, iron parts, gray mirror, wood veneer, silestone, ceramic boards, and stone plastic composite flooring were employed to achieve the desired aesthetic and functionality.

With an indoor area of approximately 100 square meters, the designers ensured that each room had sufficient space and efficiency. The layout was redesigned to integrate the living room, dining room, and kitchen into one open, well-lighted space. The kitchen was transformed into an open dining area with a see-through bar, promoting intimate interaction between parents and children. The concealed range hood and IH stove added practicality, safety, and style to the space. A customized table was also incorporated into the kitchen, creating a unique place for family members to maintain their relationships.

The Lovely My Casa project took place in New Taipei City, Taiwan, starting in June 2019 and concluding in October 2019. The design process involved extensive research and creative problem-solving to overcome the challenges posed by the existing structure. The result is a harmonious and inviting home that reflects the designers' vision and the needs of the residents.

This exceptional design was recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. The award acknowledges the well-designed, practical, and innovative nature of the Lovely My Casa, which meets professional and industrial requirements. This project stands out for its integration of industry best practices, competent technical characteristics, and its contribution to a better world.
